We have been working hard since the Halloween break. We have been lucky to have a new pupil join our class. Another highlight has been the hot lunches.
We started a new novel called ‘The Lost Girl King’. We have been writing some procedures and we made cookies. We also have been adding new words to our word wall. Pupils from 4th class came to talk to us about horses when we were learning about horses. [They were experts]
In Irish we learned about mo Scoil, past Tense verbs and we enjoyed conversation circles.
We have been simplifying, adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing fractions. We are glad that the long division is finished.
We are learning about the history of the school and we are working on a creative project on the history of the school. We made paper aeroplanes for science week.
In Art we took pictures of the school from different angles and we also drew them. We also entered a slogan competition and our class won. We made our own Christmas cards and we are making decorations for our classroom.
In Wellbeing we are talking about looking after ourselves, making sure we don’t spend too much time on screens and things we can do are good for us.

We are enjoying music generation on a Wednesday with Tom. We are doing tag rugby with Noel on a Monday. We are also practicing for our school show. Robin Hood and the Sherwood Hoodies. We cannot wait to perform in December. Come and see the greatest show and we will try to satisfy your appetite.

Happy Christmas to everyone from 5th class.
