The past three months have been very busy in 5th Class.
In November, we had science week where we enjoyed using our scientific minds in class to complete lots of different experiments.
We made our own crystals, created lava lamps and tested bacterial growth on lots of different places and objects around the classroom using white bread.
The results were very effective and interesting!

During December we had lots of activities in school on the run up to Christmas.
We completed lots of lovely artwork including Christmas tree collages, Christmas windows and Christmas …
We were very busy preparing for our Christmas Concert which was a great success and enjoyed by all on the day!
Santa popped in for a visit to the class also.

We did loads of learning and research all about WWII in December and January.
We created individual and paired projects based on different aspects of the war.
We also wrote some war letters and painted some pictures based on ‘The Blitz’ in London.

In January, we got the chance to perform for our Grandparents on Grandparents’ Day during Catholic Schools Week.
We wrote our own acrostic poem about our grandparents and read it aloud.

In February, we have been busy learning about Data in maths and carried out surveys on every class based on different topics.
We presented our results on bar charts and using apps on the iPads.
We looked at the famous artist Banksy and completed some lovely artwork for Valentine’s Day based on their work.
