1st and 2nd Class Blog
Neurodiversity Day
Church Hill NS celebrated neurodiversity day on April 26th.
This special day involved the entire school wearing rainbow coloured clothing to celebrate the neurodiversity movement
which encompasses all the different ways in which people experience and interact with the world.
The children in 1st and 2nd class loved the sensory activities in the hall that was organised by our staff members from the Sunflower rooms.

First Holy Communion
2nd class had a glorious day for their First Holy Communion on May 11th.
The children had completed a great deal of preparation for their special day.
A huge thank you to our wonderful parents association also who provided refreshments after the mass in the school hall.

All About India!
1st and 2nd class have been learning all about India in recent weeks.
We researched about the history, landmarks, customs and traditions of India.
We were lucky enough to have Ms Quigley come into the class and share her experiences of visiting India.
She even brought in her sari, a traditional colourful Indian garment that women wear in India.
We were very surprised to find that that it measured over 5 metres in length!

School Tour
On Tuesday the 28th of May, 1st and 2nd class went on their school tour to SETU Waterford.
The children had a very active day and enjoyed laser tag, archery, archery tag, bouncy castle obstacle course, soccer and foot golf during the day.
A great day was had by all.
