4th Class Blog – September
It’s been a busy start to the school year for 4th Class! We explored the Story of Creation, and the children created lovely ‘zig-zag books’ to explain the story and what was created by God in the first seven days.
We have been very lucky to have Mr. Delahunty in our class for the past few weeks, teaching fantastic and enjoyable lessons that the class have really enjoyed! In art, we created and designed brilliant autumn trees through the technique of Pointillism. This involved using our handprints and cotton buds to produce autumn pictures bursting with all sorts of colours.
With Mr. Delahunty, we have also been exploring Italy and the Romans, while taking part in experiments to see how light travels and testing the reflection of light!
Amongst all that brilliant work, the children have, in groups, created absolutely amazing projects to show what they have learned about, and researched on, the Space Race between America and Russia. They turned out fantastic, and the 3-D models that some children made were just excellent.
What a start to the school year!
