4th Class Blog: February – March
We have been really enjoying our ‘Run Around Europe’ as part of Active Schools. We have already reached Kiev in Ukraine, and are now focusing on reaching Rome in Italy!
We had a brilliant Engineer’s Week, listening to guest speakers and designing various cool objects like our own Pinwheels to explore wind energy.
World Book Day was part of our already busy Engineer’s Week! We had many fantastic costumes and characters on show, while everyone talked about their favourite books and characters!
The month of March was our turn to decorate and create a design for the school artboard at the front of the school as you enter. It turned out absolutely fantastic, with everyone creating and designing amazing handprint tracings.
Green took over on the Friday of Seachtain na Gaeilge with ‘Lá Glas’ taking place. The children gave an outstanding rendition of ‘Amhrán na bhFiann’ for the ceolchoirm. Go hiontach ar fad!!
Finally, in the wind down to the Easter holidays, we designed wonderful artwork for St. Patrick’s Day.
