March has been a busy month in 2nd and 3rd Class.
We began planting the rest of our fruit and vegetables. We used recyclable materials and planted turnips, carrots, chives, lettuce and spinach. We hadn't heard of some of the foods before and hope to have lots of taste tests in June! Our strawberries and potatoes are doing great and we need to repot them now too.
We were also super lucky to have two student teachers in our class. They completed lots of exciting experiments with us. We learned how to test materials to check if they were waterproof and we tested materials to see if we could make a parachute!
Seachtain na Gaeilge was also great fun, with lots of Irish dancing, Lá Glas and a Trath na gCeist. The winners received an Easter Egg for their excellent efforts.
