We recently enjoyed a number of wonderful celebrations in our Sunflower Classes, filled with fun and learning.
We celebrated World Book Day, one of our favourite days of the year. The children came dressed as characters from their favourite stories, from superheroes to classic book characters. We spent time in our reading corner sharing books, talking about stories, and enjoying reading together. We also took part in Buddy Reading and Show and Tell, which gave everyone a chance to share their favourite books and practise their listening and communication skills.

After the school’s Ceolchoirm, our Sunflower Classes held a special St. Patrick’s Day breakfast morning. Everyone dressed in green and wore festive headbands, and the room was decorated with shamrocks and our beautiful artwork. The children enjoyed sharing a delicious breakfast together, practising social skills, turn-taking, and conversation while having great fun with their friends.

Our Sunflower Classes also helped to plant seedlings and get our school garden ready for the warmer weather. This was a lovely way to celebrate the beginning of spring, and the children really enjoyed getting involved.

These special days give the children opportunities to learn and socialise together. We are very proud of how everyone participated and helped make each event so enjoyable
