After a well-deserved break, The Sunflower Rooms have settled back into school life with great enthusiasm! It has been wonderful to see the children re-engage with their routines, reconnect with their friends, and dive back into their learning.
We were also treated to a special sensory experience during our first week back -exploring the leftover snow! The children had a fantastic time feeling the very cold and crunchy snow! Sensory play like this is an important part of our daily routine, helping to develop communication, fine motor skills.
Inside the classroom, we have been enjoying the use of manipulatives to support learning. Whether it’s stacking cubes, sorting objects, or using sma counters and bears for maths, these hands-on tools make concepts more accessible and engaging. The children have also been practicing their fine motor skills through threading, peg boards.
It has been a fantastic start to the term!!
